About Competition
The Until Justice Just Is Student Competition is a call out to Central New Jersey youth designed to encourage high school students to reflect on the importance of racial justice in society and how we can contribute to making justice a reality. This year, participants are invited to submit an essay, video, or visual art piece that answers the following:
“As the United States marks its 250th anniversary, imagine you are tasked with rewriting the Declaration of Independence for today OR designing a monument to commemorate this moment. What truths about racial justice, equity, and inclusion must be included in a modern declaration of freedom? Who or what would your monument honor, and what would it look like to truly reflect the America we aspire to become?”
