PRINCETON, NJ – July 6, 2026 – YWCA Princeton announced the appointment of Kiyana Richardson as the new President of its Board of Directors, effective July 1, 2026.

Richardson succeeds outgoing Board President Nikki Jones, whose leadership and dedication have guided the organization through significant growth and transformation.

Richardson has more than 20 years of experience in strategic communications, marketing, business development, nonprofit leadership, and community engagement. She is President of FIN Business, LLC, an economic development consulting firm.

She recently completed her term as President and Board Chair of the Junior League of Greater Princeton. Her prior leadership experience includes service on the Board of Newark Arts and senior roles at the Council of Urban Professionals and Brick City Development Corporation.

"Kiyana is an exceptional leader whose passion for women, families, and community aligns perfectly with the YWCA's mission," said Rose Wong, Chief Executive Officer of YWCA Princeton.

“She brings a remarkable combination of strategic vision, governance experience, entrepreneurial thinking, and a deep commitment to service. As we prepare to expand our reach as YWCA Central New Jersey, I look forward to working closely with Kiyana and our Board of Directors to ensure we continue to deliver on our mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. That mission is as important today as it has ever been, and together we will continue building stronger, more equitable communities across Central New Jersey,” Wong said.

“I am honored to serve as Board President,” Richardson said. “The YWCA has a long history of supporting women, families, and racial justice, and I look forward to working with the Board, management team, staff, and partners to advance that mission.”

Richardson was unanimously elected by the Board following her recent appointment as a Board Member.
