Sherrill has vowed to protect access to abortion rights in New Jersey and supports enshrining the right to an abortion in the state constitution to permanently protect reproductive freedom. She will also continue working to expanding access to contraception and IVF services

Mikie believes that quality child care is a lifeline for families and strengthens our economy. She will work to bring down the cost of child care for families and allow parents the ability to rejoin the workforce or take on more hours at work.

As governor, she will also support effective programs that address learning loss and create stronger pathways between schools and the workforce through offering more apprenticeships, working closely with employers and colleges, and expanding job training programs.

Sherrill says that as governor, she will be focused on keeping our towns and cities safe. She will expand law enforcement efforts to take illegal guns off of our streets, prevent violent criminals from legally purchasing firearms, and enhance requirements for the safe storage of firearms, particularly where children are present.
