Local Events and National Initiatives

Throughout the year, we host events centered around education and engagement as a means of empowerment. This includes film screenings and panels, presentations by local experts on life skills and/or racial justice, opportunities for local youth to identify with the YWCA mission of eliminating racism and empowering women in a safe/creating space, and more.

We also participate in national YWCA USA campaigns centered around civic engagement, ending gender-based violence, dismantling systemic racism and promoting equity.

This initiative is part of a global movement to end violence against women and girls.

Get Out the Vote

Every vote matters and YWCA is on a mission to help members of our community register to vote. We encourage civic engagement, like voting and participating in the census.

Until Justice Just Is

The 2023 YWCA Racial Justice Challenge, which will coincide with the Until Justice Just Is campaign, will take place from April 17 – May 15.
