YWCA Princeton Stands In Solidarity With Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and Survivors Everywhere

Categories: Blog, Press Release

Since Dr. Christine Blasey Ford came forward with an allegation of sexual assault against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, she has been endlessly harassed, threatened and her credibility has been repeatedly questioned.

Today, YWCA Princeton proudly joined YWCA USA, the #MeToo movement and other sister organizations across USA, for a National Walkout and Moment of Solidary for Dr. Ford. We walked to Palmer Square at 1 PM ET, and joined other protestors in a moment of silence for Dr. Ford and survivors of sexual assault everywhere.

We believe Dr. Blasey Ford. We believe survivors, especially in the midst of a national culture which still blames survivors, upending the lives of women and girls all across our country. We thank women like Dr. Ford, for their bravery and their resilience.

YWCA Princeton implores the Senate Judiciary Committee to act on a bipartisan basis to investigate her claims and utilize a process that prioritizes fairness and justice for survivors over political expediency.
