YWCA Princeton recently received a $1,000 grant from Investors Foundation at the Young Wonders Child Development Center. The grant will help further YWCA Princeton’s mission of eliminating racism and empowering women by supporting the child care program, which supports working families staying employed while knowing their children are receiving quality care and education. The grant will support families in need of financial assistance, particularly within the Bilingual Nursery School, which serves children 2 ½ to 6 years old, at YWCA Princeton’s Child Development Center.
“For many families, securing child care is a crucial component of reaching financial stability. Without dependable and consistent child care, it is difficult for working parents to stay employed.” said YWCA Princeton CEO Judy Hutton. “The grant from the Investors Foundation will make a genuine difference for families in need of child care who are working full-time.”
“The children at YWCA Princeton’s Bilingual Nursery School are at such an important age to foster a love of learning and developing skills in a second language,” said Carole Bursac of the Investors Foundation. “We’re proud to help eliminate barriers to accessing child care.”
