This talk is based on local historian and author Larry Kidder’s research for his recently published book, entitled Revolutionary Princeton 1774-1783: The Biography of an American Town in the Heart of a Civil War. The discussion will focus on the experiences during those ten years of the Black residents of Princeton and how ideas about enslavement, abolition, rights for free Black people, etc. were changing. The talk will be approximately 30-40 minutes followed by a Q&A.
