Thank you for helping us celebrate 100 years of service!

On Saturday, September 17th, we hosted a free community Block Party to commemorate our centennial anniversary. Over a dozen community partners and local businesses hosted vendor tables with information, resources, and activities for the families in attendance. Thanks to the support of local businesses like Terhune Orchards, The Bent Spoon, and The Gingered Peach, we were able to provide delicious snacks for our guests, as well as meals for purchase from The Mexi Boys and Thai Cha Chak food trucks.
YWCA Princeton CEO Tay Walker, Board President Leslie Straut Ward, and Princeton Mayor Mark Freda gave remarks throughout the event to recognize the significance of 100 years of serving a community, and the potential to steward another 100 years of impact. We also recognized Tara O’Shea, our Director of The Burke Foundation Early Childhood Center at YWCA Princeton, for her 26 years of service to the YW, and Ms. Rosa, who has been teaching at our childcare center for 30 years.
Special thanks to The Cat’s Meow, Princeton High School’s acapella group, as well as GiGi Walker for their performances, and entertainment by Color Me Hoopy and DJ Dave from Sound Choice Disc Jockeys. Lastly, we thank Trenton Mayor Reed Gusciora and Boomer from the Trenton Thunder for stopping by and joining us!
