The YWCA helps Haiti

Recently established (2008), the YWCA of Haiti has had as its priorities young women’s leadership development, health and HIV/AIDS, and good governance and accountability. Given the current lack of security following January’s devastating earthquake, increased sexual violence against women is now of prime concern.
YWCAs around the world have banded together to help their sister organization in Port-au-Prince. Donations have provided needed services to the most vulnerable as the country finds its footing again.
We are proud that our local memberships contribute to supporting global social justice efforts such as this!
