Communications & Marketing Manager

The YWCA Princeton is seeking a full time Communications & Marketing Manager who will responsible for all aspects of Marketing and Brand Compliance. This includes the YWCA Princeton’s service and value based propositions to maintain and grow our membership and to drive increased participation in programs and events in order to increase our leadership role in mission-infused programming. This person will work across all departments and programs to collaborate and deliver clear communications of our programs, events and services in inspiring and relevant ways. The individual will be responsible for the design, execution, and follow up analysis of marketing strategies and tactics..

The individual will assist in all editorial, artistic/graphic design, advertising efforts including managing and identifying new media platforms. The individual collaborates with program and events leaders in marketing analyses and planning for high-yield return-on-investment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review all communications for messaging and brand compliance
  • Support and facilitate the development and implementation of programming and departmental events marketing plans, including detailed strategies for reaching target markets and outlets
  • Maintain a marketing calendar of key events and important dates as well as a “public” calendar for the website, postcards, and Class Listing guides
  • Manage and attend tabling/booth events
  • Work with Digital Marketing Coordinator to maintain consistent and timely media exposure (i.e. Constant Contact, Website and Facebook) for YWCA Princeton events, programs, activities by cultivating relations to facilitate coverage of YWCA Princeton activities; prepare new releases according to standards of target media; timely response to media inquiries; prepare publicity and prepare publicity to reach target constituencies and support fundraising
  • Prepare and manage annual promotional materials by preparing monthly e-Newsletter, Annual Report in conjunction with the Director of Advocacy & Development; manage and prepare of quarterly catalog; oversee the YWCA Princeton website for accuracy of events, listings and recognition; and review direct mail pieces for Annual Giving

Functional Competencies:

  • Understand the Strategic Plan and Goals of the CEO
  • Develops a comprehensive plan for all marketing activities that encompasses a focuses at the organization level and for all programs and event activities
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage projects from inception through execution
  • Works collaboratively within the Advocacy & Development Office and with Program Directors to create and implement marketing plans and recommends and responds to the overall budgetary planning of Chief Financial Officer
  • Program and project management competencies
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Leadership in diversity (teams, communities, markets and functions)
  • Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and ability to learn new software programs
  • Knowledge of FTP/CMS (WordPress), Analytics (Google Analytics), MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Experience with all major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Database experience, preferable one year of using Raiser’s Edge, or comparable database.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in working with volunteers.
  • Digital/Computer Skills: Microsoft Office®, Social Media, Adobe Photoshop® Audio/Visual Production and Wordpress®

Lifeguard & Water Safety Instructor

The YWCA Princeton offers a variety of aquatics classes and pool times in  Plainsboro. We are seeking a candidate comfortable working with children, teens, adults and adaptive students and who has familiarity with the American Red Cross Learn to Swim Program. Our goal is to provide a fun, friendly, and safe environment for our swimmers – new, seasoned, and recreational. Must be responsible and a command for all aspects swimming and pool safety.

The YWCA Princeton is seeking a part-time Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor with 1 year experience.

Requirements:

  • Minimum BS/BA in Marketing or related field
  • Minimum 3 years marketing experience at a small to mid-size professional services organization

Young Wonders Child Development Center at Princeton 

Young Wonders Child Development Center at the YWCA Princeton offers an exceptional child care program for children 8 weeks to 6 years old that emphasizes well-rounded learning using the Creative Curriculum. We are seeking a

  1. Part-Time assistant teacher for our infant classroom. (ages 8 weeks to 18 months) This person must be available to work Monday to Friday from 1pm to 6pm.
  2. Full-Time lead teacher for our 2.5-3.5 year old classroom to cover a maternity leave.  This position may result in a fulltime position after 3 months.  This person must be able to work between the hours of 7:15-am-6pm Monday through Friday.   You will rotate with other teachers to cover opening and closing shifts.

Requirements for part-time assistant teacher:

  • High School Diploma / GED required
  • Minimum 1 year child care experience preferred
  • CDA or Early Childhood Degree preferred but not required

Requirements for full-time lead teacher:

  • CDA or Early Childhood Degree required
  • Minimum of 1 year child care experience working with children in an early childhood program required
  • Experience with the Creative Curriculum preferred but not required
