About Newcomers Club

The Princeton Area Newcomers and Friends Club consists of over 180 members from all over the world, who have moved to the towns and townships in and around Princeton. The objective of the Club is to make members feel welcome, and to assist them in becoming part of the community. Local residents are also welcome to join - the Newcomers Club has something for everyone.

Our many exciting Interest Groups meet monthly or weekly and are the cornerstone of the Club. Here is a sampling of the Interest Groups in which you can become involved: Dining In and Out, Pins & Needles, Books by Moonlight, Tech Talks, Outdoor Explorations, Broadway Bound, Philadelphia Experience, Finding Home, Movies, International Insights, Wise Women, Stress Relief & Relaxation, Tea Time, Great Decisions and ESL Conversation.

In addition, we have Fridays with Friends, Social Coffees and Club Parties. “Friday with Friends,” the group’s monthly gathering, is held the second Friday of the month at the YWCA, Sept.-June, 11:30 am-2 pm. The meeting agenda includes welcoming new members, providing an overview and sign-up for monthly activities, and a guest speaker or activity. A light lunch is available for a nominal charge. Babes in arms are welcome at Friday with Friends.

Social coffees are held the third Thursday of the month, Aug.-June, 9:30-11 am, in the cozy living room at Bramwell House in a more relaxed atmosphere.

Our monthly newsletter is the primary source of club information. It contains the dates, times, and locations of meetings and all of the upcoming monthly activities of the interest groups. You can pick up a copy of the newsletter at the Friday with Friends or Social Coffee. You can also contact the Membership VPs to receive one by email:
