The 8th Annual ETS Firecracker 5K Run/Walk will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the ETS Campus.  This year’s event promises to be a fun-filled evening for runners and walkers of all ages, their families, friends and colleagues. In addition to the 5K Run/Walk, there will be giveaways, music, a complimentary post-race buffet, and t-shirts for all pre-registered participants. Prizes will be awarded to first, second, and third place individual winners in several age categories. Winning corporate teams will receive special recognition!

This year our race is dedicaated to our program's founder Patti Preston, who passed away in February. Through Patti's commitment, this program has grown and thrived and has graduated more than 300 successful learners.

The beneficiaries of your participation are the children and families served by the YWCA Princeton’s Bilingual Nursery School. This program, for at-risk preschoolers from across Mercer County, provides dual-language learning and enrichment activities that prepare students to enter kindergarten on par with their peers. Each year, the Bilingual Nursery School:
•           Serves 33 children whose first language is Spanish
•           Provides scholarships to 90% of students whose families would not be able to afford preschool without this assistance
