The BCRC Patient Assistance Fund is supported by the Christina S. Walsh Breast Cancer Foundation and is dedicated to providing financial assistance to breast cancer patients in need. The Fund will help offset expenses incurred as a result of breast cancer diagnosis and treatment including, but not limited to, treatment, medication, medical tests, co-pays, hospice care and other necessities not covered by insurance, as well as cost of meals, accommodations, hospital parking fees, childcare, rent, utilities etc. incurred by patients and families while a loved one is in hospital, treatment or recovery. The Fund will provide assistance up to $300 per patient per year. This can be a one-time lump sum to help with a larger expense such as rent or childcare, or smaller amounts to cover individual expenses such as medication co-pays, hospital parking, or transportation to and from treatment.
When both pieces of documentation have been received by BCRC and approved, a check will be mailed directly to the patient/survivor. It is our goal for this process to take less than 1 week. Under certain circumstances the BCRC Patient Assistance Fund will agree to provide funds directly to a third party to pay a bill. In these cases an invoice/bill with the payee details should be provided to BCRC along with the other two required pieces of documentation.
For more information please contact the BCRC office at 609-497-2100 ext. 346 or 349.
